Microsoft loses patent
Another Setback for Microsoft: The software giant has a patent for his word-processing program Word lost. Now Microsoft wants to adapt the software to avert a cessation of sales in the U.S.. Earlier, an appeals court had upheld a ruling that had a patent infringement suit against Microsoft by i4i upheld. The Canadian company had been awarded and force a payment of 290 million U.S. dollars.
